Nzuri Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Texas.

Founders Mark & Edith Givens are originally from Oklahoma City, (Oklahoma) and have called Arlington, Texas their home for over 36 years. They have two grown children and are proud grandparents of two beautiful grandchildren.

Mark and Edith are business owners here in the USA. Mark is a licensed plumber (Master), owner of Givens & Associates, Inc. Edith a licensed cosmetologist and a SuperCuts Franchisee.

The Givens' 2018 goal was to recruit volunteers to join them in the mission field. That year in April and July two groups accompanied the Givens on the mission field in Tanzania. Medical volunteers brought medical supplies valued over $10,000.00 over $4,000 in dental equipment, tools and supplies was collected from 3 dental offices in the Arlington and the Houston, Texas area. Teachers had their bags packed with toiletries, pencils and chalk. The Preacher, deacon and bible school teachers were equipped with their lessons. Congregations from Oklahoma, Colorado, Arkansas and Texas donated toiletries, suits and shoes for those in need. Ten volunteers and over 50 (70lbs) bags made those mission trips in April and July 2018. The Givens have made a total of ten trips to Tanzania, Africa since 2017. Mark and Edith believe that with all of the tools and support necessary Nzuri Foundation Inc will succeed in helping these villages grow, prosper and flourish.
